Centauri has purchased Dayton, Ohio-based The Design Knowledge Company and PreTalen as part of an investment aimed at expanding customer base in the cyber, intelligence and space markets.
Both deals will more than double Centauri’s workforce size in the Dayton region to approximately 300 employees, the Chantilly, Va.-based national security contractor said Wednesday.
“Our goal is to create a company culture that attracts the best and brightest talent in order to solve our government customers’ biggest challenges,” Centauri CEO Dave Dzaran told ExecutiveBiz.
Dzaran added the company seeks to deepen its expertise and strengthen its ability to provide mission-critical services through the acquisitions.
Centauri estimates an annual revenue of $475M for the combined entity and aims to establish additional research-and-development laboratories as part of expansion efforts.
TDKC develops and engineers technology platforms designed to secure microelectronics, provide customers awareness of the space domain and visualize situational awareness data.
PreTalen focuses on engineering systems intended for positioning, navigation, timing and cyber warfare applications.
Greg Gerten, CEO of PreTalen, and TDKC founders Dan Schiavone and Eric Loomis will join Centauri.
