A Caliburn International subsidiary has been accredited by the Department of Defense for a metal detector platform designed to identify explosive remnants of war.

Janus Global Operations can now provide its Advanced Geophysical Classification technology to support munition response missions via the DoD Advanced Geophysical Classification Accreditation Program, Caliburn said Friday.

AGC works to differentiate unexploded bombs from "metallic clutter" before an intrusive operation takes place.

Mike Pate, a senior vice president head of the munitions and environmental remediation business line at Caliburn, said DAGCAP allows the company to support customers' projects with technology.
