Trueface has received a contract through the U.S. Air Force's AFWERX program to install company-built computer vision systems at a military base in the first quarter of 2020.
The company said Tuesday its platform is designed to identify license plates, track the movement of weapons and use facial recognition tools for base security and visitor screening processes.
Contract work is part of the second phase of USAF's Small Business Innovation Research Program. Earlier this year, Trueface received a Phase I contract to perform an assessment of computer vision use cases.
Trueface CEO Shaun Moore said the company aims to provide critical data to the Air Force in real time to protect infrastructure and personnel on base.
