Raytheon has received a potential 70-month, $72M contract to provide technical and analytical support for the U.S. Air Force's advanced medium-range air-to-air missile system.
The service branch will concurrently award a $238,173 initial task order through the sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Work will take place in Tucson, Ariz., through Sept. 30, 2025.
AMRAAM, which uses a seeker technology to locate targets, has functioned in 10 air-to-air engagements and completed more than 4.2K trial shots. The U.S. government and 36 foreign military customers have adopted the system.
