BlackBerry Releases Secure Communications Products on AWS Cloud

Amazon Web Services will market two BlackBerry-built secure communications tools for public sector customers through the AWS cloud.

Built via the AWS platform, SecuSUITE for Government works to protect unclassified and classified voice and text messages while AtHoc is designed to combine communication modalities into one system, BlackBerry said Monday.

The partnership will also allow AWS customers to maintain their security posture along with the growth of their workforce through the use of BlackBerry's products and services.

Richard McLeod, vice president of global enterprise software channels at BlackBerry, said that due to BlackBerry’s AWS Advanced Partner status, BlackBerry can now provide its new offerings to AWS customers “so they can further maximize their cloud investments and scale the solutions to adapt to changing needs.” 

BlackBerry noted the partnership is a part of the company’s efforts to expand its AWS cloud services.
