Unisys has collaborated with Microsoft to integrate the former’s Stealth cybersecurity suite with an Azure-based application program interface to support enterprise information technology and cloud migration activities.

Unisys said Monday that the Azure Service Tag Discovery API uses microsegmentation and encryption to isolate critical data and systems in order to mitigate attacks from unauthorized users.

The integrated offerings are intended to operate in zero-trust architectures while preventing interruptions in an Azure environment and supporting rapid updates to security configuration requirements.

Sudhir Mehta, global vice president of security products and strategy at Unisys, said that the two companies are continuing efforts to discover new ways of using the combined technologies for secure cloud migration.

“We look forward to teaming with Unisys to help more government and commercial clients accelerate their migration to the Azure cloud,” said Jeff Cohen, partner group project manager for Azure at Microsoft.

Unisys and Microsoft first announced efforts to make the Stealth microsegmentation software available in the Azure environment in 2016.
