Richard Schaeffer, a 40-year veteran in the defense and intelligence sectors, has been included in Fornetix’s board of directors. Schaeffer will utilize his management, leadership and technical background in information assurance and security to assist Fornetix in protecting U.S. assets under his new role, the company said Friday.
Prior to his appointment, Schaeffer served as information assurance director at the National Security Agency and has advocated cyber education and training initiatives after his departure from the role.
“The addition of Dick Schaeffer is a monumental boost to the organization as we strengthen our relationship with a broad range of federal agencies,†said Mark Gilroy, CEO at Fornetix. Gilroy added that the company’s offerings have been developed to address military, government and intelligence needs.
