Oshkosh Defense Receives Bravo Zulu Award; John Bryant Quoted

U.S. Navy Secretary Richard Spencer honored Oshkosh Defense with the Bravo Zulu award in recognition of its delivery of light tactical vehicles to the service branch and the U.S. Marine Corps.

Oshkosh Defense said Thursday that the vehicles are intended to support the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program. In 2015, the company received a $6.7B contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture JLTVs, which are intended to replace the U.S. military’s high mobility, multi-wheeled vehicles.

According to Oshkosh, the program received initial operating capability status from USMC and has entered the full-rate production phase after the conclusion of performance, reliability and logistics tests.

“It is a true honor to host Secretary Spencer and introduce him to the men and women who come to work each day focused on delivering the products that allow our Warfighters to complete their missions and return home safely,” said John Bryant, president at Oshkosh Defense and executive vice president at Oshkosh Corp.
