Chris Valentino, vice president of global cyber solutions at Northrop Grumman“™s mission systems business, said the U.S. Army must integrate cyber technologies into traditional, physical missions, C4ISRNet reported Tuesday.
Valentino“™s statement to C4ISRNet at the Association of the U.S. Army“™s 2019 conference comes as the Department of Defense expands cyber activities across operations for all levels of command. This development will require commanders to visualize the cyber-ground environment to coordinate with deployed troops.
Integrated use of information warfare technologies must function to help the military form common operating pictures via analytics and sensor-based data, the report noted.
The Army may soon request industry input for the Cyber Situational Understanding, a platform that will work to provide commanders visualization of the cyber operational environment.
