Matthew Kuta, formerly a member of Goldman Sachs’ private equity group investment team, has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Voyager Space Holdings.
His appointment comes after 20-year space industry veteran Dylan Taylor joined the firm as its chairman and CEO, Voyager said Wednesday.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Kuta served with the U.S. Air Force and was an F-15E fighter pilot. He currently serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
According to Taylor, Kuta will help drive the company’s efforts to grow space companies and address the challenges they face in the market.
He added that Voyager’s model is focused on centralizing crucial business functions so space firms can “refocus their efforts on driving innovation and moving their technologies from concept to production.â€
Voyager is based in Denver and operates as the world’s first space-focused holding company.
