General Atomics has secured a $41.8M cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to help the U.S. Army demonstrate a hypersonic weapon technology.
The company will provide analysis, engineering design and testing support for the Hypersonics Technology Demonstration Program, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Contract work will occur in Huntsville, Ala., and Albuquerque, N.M., through March 31, 2021.
The Army obligated an initial amount of $175K from its fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds. The service branch’s Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office solicited and received one bid for the contract.
