The Federal Emergency Management Agency has issued a notice to justify a sole-source award to Dun and Bradstreet for analysis of the economic impacts of disasters.

FEMA said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice that it determined Dun and Bradstreet as the only source that can directly offer the business, industry and infrastructure data that the effort requires for the modeling of predictive disaster outcomes to support disaster response efforts and stability of community lifeline activities.

The agency will use the contractor’s data to set a pre-disaster business and economic baseline, deliver decision-making support tools, assess post-disaster outcomes, monitor economy and report on recovery progress.
