DynCorp International has issued a $215.7K grant to support Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, a nonprofit that helps mourning individuals keep up with loss of loved ones whose lives were lost during or in support of military service.
TAPS provides emotional support, financial and legal aid, community-based counseling and 24/7 care for those grieving the loss of deceased servicemen or individuals, such as DI employees, who are supporting the U.S. military, the company said Friday.
George Krivo, CEO at DynCorp and a 2019 Wash100 recipient, handed the grant’s check to TAPS President Bonnie Carroll at the Association of the United States Army’s annual conference. The grant consists of funds raised from a 2019 golf tournament.
“Thank you TAPS for all you do for our military and our DynCorp International families,†said Krivo.
DynCorp has contributed over $1.3M to TAPS in last 10 years with a variety of fundraising programs.
