The Department of Defense has placed Ctera’s edge-to-cloud offerings on the DoD Information Network Approved Products List after it fulfilled requirements and passed tests for cybersecurity certification.
Ctera Edge, Ctera Portal and Ctera Drive have achieved stringent security requirements and are eligible for use by DoD agencies for file services infrastructure updates, the company said Tuesday.
These offerings work to link users and distributed sites to a global file platform in the cloud, while its data transport protocol is designed to allow secure data replication in remote areas. Ctera noted the services will enable agencies to modernize legacy storage tools without affecting data privacy and performance.
“The CTERA platform is uniquely capable of transforming file services within federal IT, delivering local performance, cloud scalability, and global collaboration – all with the highest levels of data control,†said Richard Elliott, senior vice president at Ctera’s North America and U.S. federal government segments.
