Defense Engineering Corp. has won a seven-year, $38.9M contract to conduct research and development on a new laser radar for the U.S. Air Force.

The company will work to develop an electro-optical system and components for USAF and the Department of Defense, DoD said Friday.

Work will take place in Dayton, Ohio, through Oct. 31, 2026.

Ohio-based DEC provides technical services to military customers across a range of areas including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
