Bloomberg Government has named Carahsoft Technology a top government contractor in recognition of the increase in value of the former’s contracts with the U.S. government in fiscal year 2018.

Carahsoft ranked 80th among a pool of 200 awardees, marking the firm’s third year in the BGOV list’s upper 100 tier, Carahsoft said Tuesday.

According to BGOV’s Federal Industry Leaders Study, this year’s winners account for 64 percent or $327.7B of federal contracting obligations in FY 2018. The study also found that federal spending rose by 9 percent from $512B two years ago.

During that period, Carahsoft saw a 17 percent increase to $759M in contract awards.

“Market trends may change, but our central goal to empower agency missions, in collaboration with our reseller partners and technology solutions providers, remains the same,” said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft and a 2019 Wash100 winner. “We look forward to closing out a strong year in 2019 and seeing what new opportunities 2020 will bring.”

The BGOV200 Federal Industry Leaders Study covers firms that secured prime and unclassified contracts with 24 U.S. departments and agencies under 27 purchasing categories.
