Boeing to Invest in Virgin Galactic as Part of Commercial Space Push; Leanne Caret Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 16, 2019 — Boeing (NYSE: BA), through its HorizonX Ventures organization, will invest $20M in Virgin Galactic as both companies aim to expand access to commercial space services,  ExecutiveGov reported Oct. 8.

Boeing said Oct. 8 it will obtain new shares in the spaceflight company as part of the investment deal, which is contingent on the closing of Virgin Galactic's merger transaction with Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp.
