Bastille to Test IoT Security Tech for DHS

Bastille Networks has received a $199,700 contract to test an internet of things security system for the Department of Homeland Security. DHS’ Science and Technology Directorate said Thursday it tasked the company to deliver a platform that will help administrators maintain security situational awareness over connected devices.

Bastille will work to update and prepare its proposed platform for commercialization and DHS use. S&T awarded the contract under the Security for the IoT solicitation of the directorate’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program. The solicitation seeks concepts and applications that secure IoT systems for detection, authentication and updates.

The company assessed wireless protocols of power plants and other critical infrastructure during SVIP’s previous phases.
