Tyler Technologies has agreed with Amazon Web Services to use the latter’s cloud offerings as a basis for the development of the former’s future technologies to support public sector clients.

The strategic collaboration agreement covers development and training efforts for next-generation cloud services intended to assist government activities through on-premises or Tyler-operated data centers, Tyler said Tuesday.

AWS will help establish a framework for future collaborative efforts with Tyler aimed at helping government clients design, manage and deliver their programs.

“AWS’s strategic collaboration with Tyler extends our relationship and encourages greater engagement for the benefit of public sector customers,” said Teresa Carlson, vice president of worldwide public sector at AWS and a 2019 Wash100 winner.

Lynn Moore, president and CEO of Tyler, noted that the agreement builds on the federal, state and local governments’ recent deployment of hosted environments to manage their operations.

Tyler Technologies is a Plano, Texas-based software firm that offers a range of services to support public sector operations including education, judiciary and land management activities.
