A Southwest Research Institute-managed program will offer services to help manufacturing companies comply with the federal government’s cybersecurity standards.
The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center South Central Region program has announced that it will provide educational services to aid manufacturers in creating a cybersecurity compliance strategy, SwRI said Tuesday.
TMAC will pursue this effort with funds from the Department of Defense.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology formed cybersecurity standards that the DoD, the General Services Administration and NASA have been observing since 2017, and the center will work to increase the awareness and understanding of contractors regarding these standards.
TMAC’s workshops are designed to boost the competitiveness and cybersecurity of small businesses within the manufacturing industry.
