ST Engineering Telematics Wireless has delivered a control network to help Cleveland operate a system of 61K streetlights.
Cleveland Public Power adopted and activated the T-Light Galaxy Network over three business days with frequencies authorized by the Federal Communications Commission, ST Engineering said Monday.
T-Light Galaxy provides the BrightCity software and a wide area communications network to facilitate light intensity control across Cleveland.
The city may also use T-Light Galaxy to program light schedules and manage associated maintenance activities.
“This digital transformation of our streetlights fulfils a key component of the Safe, Smart CLE Project launched earlier this year,†said Ivan Henderson, commissioner at Cleveland Public Power.
The Safe, Smart CLE Project aims to convert all of Cleveland's streetlights to LEDs and integrate them with ST Engineering's lighting control system and a network of 1K cameras.
