SpaceX conducted a static fire test for its Falcon 9 rocket, which will be used to launch two astronauts onboard the Crew Dragon capsule to the International Space Station, CNET reported Friday. The company said in a tweet on Aug. 30th that the team facilitated testing activities at the company’s location in McGregor, Texas.

This test comes after SpaceX completed a static fire test for Falcon 9’s engines in July. A team that consists of NASA and SpaceX engineers failed to conduct an in-flight abort test in April and pushed back the crewed mission’s projected launch date.

SpaceX announced in May that it intends to conduct two Crew Dragon test flights by the end of the year. NASA selected the company along with Boeing for the agency’s Commercial Crew Program aimed at promoting U.S. space transport activities.
