Information technology firm Illumio has achieved information assurance certification for the firm’s cybersecurity platform, allowing the product for use by the Department of Defense.
The company said Aug. 27 that its Adaptive Security Platform underwent security testing and assessment to achieve federal Common Criteria certification and verified compliance with the National Information Assurance Partnership.
Defense agencies, allied forces and security-strict industries may now use the platform for protection against data center and cloud breaches.
The platform allows users to protect high-value assets via a zero trust environment designed to address insider threats.
Users may leverage the platform’s vulnerability exposure insights and application dependency maps in any type of cloud environment or data center.
“With Common Criteria certification, our Adaptive Security Platform can now be leveraged by agencies to isolate threats and prevent malicious acts from moving laterally across their network,†said Don French, director of federal sales at Illumio.
