Hybrid Air Vehicles has partnered with Vertex Aerospace to jointly propose a multi-domain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft to the Department of Defense.
Vertex said Thursday its aircraft integration and sustainment division will cooperate with HAV to tailor the Airlander 10 airship for ISR, computing and communications support.
“This partnership allows us to support our U.S. armed forces as they move toward joint, multi-domain operations to combat the ambiguity of hybrid warfare,†said Ed Boyington, president and CEO at Vertex Aerospace.
U.K.-based HAV invented Airlander 10, a hybrid airship designed for a variety of uses including travel, logistics and security.
