Honeywell has received a $46.9M firm-fixed-price contract to repair and overhaul a turboshaft engine system used by the U.S. Army.
Contract work is slated to conclude by Sept. 30, 2020 and will take place in Phoenix, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Army Contracting Command received one offer as the contracting activity and the service branch obligated the contract’s full value from fiscal year 2019 working capital funds.
The T55-GA-714A engine can yield 4.8K shaft horsepower and is built to help the CH-47 Chinook aircraft reach 196 miles per hour in flight speed.
