General Dynamics’ mission systems business has landed a $62.4M firm-fixed-price contract to deliver configuration items for a communications and information tool, the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical system, used by the U.S. Army.
Army Contracting Command received one offer for the contract and the service branch obligated the award’s full value from fiscal year 2019 funds, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Contract work is slated to conclude by Dec. 31, 2020 and will take place in Taunton, Mass.Â
The Warfighter Information Network-Tactical system is designed to help warfighters transmit messages for medical assistance, call for artillery support, access command applications, stream live videos and display a topographical map of all friendly units nearby.
