NASA has granted Equator exclusive license to a cybersecurity technology that works to detect suspicious activity on data.
The patented system is designed to monitor behavior patterns of authorized personnel through the collection of related user information from workstations, facilities and devices, the space agency said Thursday.
Equator and NASA's Strategic Partnerships Office at the Goddard Space Flight Center worked together during the licensing process.
“What we’re finding is that the lack of sufficient corporate action to protect their systems is leading to increased government fines and court action from consumers affected,†said Robert Woods, president and CEO of Equator.
Woods added the company aims to help organizations protect systems from hackers with the use of technology.
Equator is a veteran-owned company and offers cybersecurity, engineering and project management services.
