Drone Aviation Holding has delivered new aerostat units to a prime contractor for an effort with U.S Customs and Border Protection.
The company said Wednesday it provided Winch Aerostat Small Platform, or WASP, systems for a program supporting CBP’s U.S. Border Patrol.
WASP is designed to deliver situational awareness for day and night conditions. The system also accommodates multiple frequencies and wireless communication in extended ranges.
“We look forward to building on our partnerships and shared experiences and supporting the brave and dedicated agents of the USBP,†said Dan Erdberg, president and CEO at Drone Aviation.
Drone Aviation received $3.8M and $1.7M contracts this year to deliver WASP systems in support of border protection missions.
