The tactical communications business within Curtiss-Wright’s defense solutions unit has unveiled a new gateway technology that accommodates a variety of modern tactical data links.
Its TDL Hub and Network Translator or HUNTR software is designed to help warfighters and command centers access operational data in real time, the company said Monday.
The software facilitates the routing and translation of tactical data links in networks and mediums such as Link 16, Situational Awareness Data Link and Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol.
HUNTR also automates the processing and translation of digitally-aided close air support and runs on Microsoft Windows 10 to allow for interoperability across different TDLs.
Military forces may use HUNTR for operations across air, ground and sea domains.
