Crowley Solutions has opened a new cross-dock facility in Camp Hill, Pa., to support the firm’s supply chain activities and freight transportation services for nearby government customers.
The 30K-square-foot facility will support work on the Defense Freight Transportation Services contract with the Defense Logistics Agency, the company said Thursday.
Able to fit 155 trailers, the cross-dock will work to facilitate the movement of cargo. The new facility also features warehousing.
“Deliveries will be consolidated to maximize flow and timing of cargo and freight into various delivery locations to support the Department of Defense’s important operations,†said Patrick Wallace, vice president for supply chain services at Crowley Solutions.
The company provides government customers with freight transportation and ship management services across technical, personnel and operational aspects.
