Boeing has secured a five-year, $30.9M contract to set up a system for repairing automated test equipment used to evaluate components of the U.S. Navy's P-8A Poseidon maritime aircraft.

The company will help the service branch establish maintenance repair capability of Consolidated Automated Support System Operational test program sets at the organic depot and intermediate level, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Eighty percent of contract work will occur in St. Louis, Mo., and the remaining 20 percent will take place in Grand Rapids, Mich. DoD expects the project to conclude by September 2024.

The Navy is obligating the full contract amount from its fiscal 2017 aircraft procurement funds.

Naval Air Systems Command managed the CASS family of testers intended for naval aviation systems afloat and ashore.
