Amazon Web Services has released a cloud-based service that works to accelerate containerized big data and potentially help customers save up to 90 percent in computing capability costs.
Customers can use Elastic Compute Cloud Spot Instances to speed up and scale fault-tolerant workloads in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions, AWS said Wednesday.
EC2 Spot Instances will enable customers to run hyperscale data analysis through Amazon EMR, Spark and Hadoop. In addition, the service can work with EC2 Auto Scaling Groups to help allocate ASG capacity for reserved and on-demand instances.
According to AWS, its GovCloud (US) Regions are built to assist customers in achieving compliance and regulatory requirements from educational institutions, contractors and government agencies.
