Cybersecurity startup Threat Sketch has published a guide to help local governments strategically manage cyber risks and address the growing threat of cyber crime. The publication, titled “ts governance for Small Governments,” provides information that local agencies may use to boost readiness against cyber threats, Threat Sketch said Friday.

It includes information on the importance of cybersecurity, cyber criminal motives, types of common cyber attacks and strategic functions of cyber risk management.  Small governments may also use the guide to gain insight on tactical advisory implementation, prevention and preparedness balance, crisis control and regulatory compliance measures.

Threat Sketch used information from the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Cybersecurity Framework. Interested individuals may access Threat Sketch’s guide here.
