Two startup companies have partnered in an effort to help law enforcement personnel manage investigations through the use of tools hosted on Amazon Web Services‘ cloud computing platform. The Callyo and Mark43 partnership seeks to combine public safety data with the latter’s records management system and facilitate calls or record interviews with the former’s virtual phone network, AWS said Tuesday.

Both software-as-a-service offerings are available to law enforcement agencies via the AWS GovCloud region. Mark43 designed its platform to help users write reports and document cases in a cloud environment.

The alliance looks to incorporate searching and viewing features of public safety information into Callyo’s network. AWS works with entrepeneurs through the cloud provider’s ResponderXLands program with Responder Ventures, an investment company based in Florida.
