Kleos Space and Spire Global have partnered to integrate the companies' datasets in an effort to help government organizations address maritime safety challenges.
The partnership seeks to incorporate automatic identification system-related information into satellite-based radio frequency data platforms, Spire said Thursday.
Both companies aim to launch the joint offering in the fourth quarter.
Luxembourg-based Kleos intends to use its Scouting Mission satellite network to deliver commercial geolocation intelligence to customers in the defense, commercial and security sectors.
Spire operates a global satellite constellation built to help the San Fancisco-based company identify, track and predict the movement of resources and weather platforms that can support public and private sector operations.
