Information technology firm SolarWinds has achieved Department of Defense approval for the company’s suite of network management tools. Its government-tailored Orion Suite v3.0 has been listed under the DoD Information Network’s approved products list, the company said Wednesday.

The suite includes tools for network monitoring, configuration management, user device tracking, internet protocol address management, resource monitoring and other network control functions.

Certified products such as Orion Suite will support DoD’s network consolidation and modernization efforts, said Mav Turner, group vice president for products at SolarWinds. The suite builds on SolarWinds’ Orion Platform, which consolidates multiple IT aspects into one central view for scalable management.
