Cloud-based work management system provider Smartsheet has received a provisional authority to operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its Smartsheet Gov platform.
Smartsheet Gov is built on Amazon Web Services GovCloud and designed to help federal agencies simplify workflows, organize processes and automate repetitive tasks, the company said Thursday.
“The federal government has adopted a cloud first strategy in order to modernize and become more responsive to citizen needs, and Smartsheet can play an important role,†Ignacio Martinez, vice president of risk and compliance at Smartsheet, told ExecutiveBiz.
“By helping agencies streamline workflows, break down siloes and increase collaboration, we enable them to deliver high value services much more efficiently than with older, legacy technology systems.â€
FedRAMP’s Joint Authorization Board prioritized Smartsheet Gov for provisional authorization in 2018 under the FedRAMP Connect program. Federal agencies and contractors can access the platform through the FedRAMP Marketplace.
