PAR Technology‘s Rome Research Corp. subsidiary has secured a potential five-year, $26.2M contract to help the U.S. Navy manage a satellite communications facility located in Chesapeake, Va.

RRC will provide operation and maintenance services to NAVSATCOMMFAC Northwest, which provides satellite or terrestrial connectivity for Department of Defense and joint forces missions, PAR said Thursday.

The subsidiary will also help maintain 27 satellite terminals built to facilitate voice, data and video communications in military and civilian satcom frequency bands. The firm-fixed-price contract, which includes options, includes support for multiple DoD offices.
