Northrop Grumman is set to demonstrate space, air and missile defense offerings at the two-day Space and Missile Defense Symposium event on Aug. 6-8 in Huntsville, Ala.
The company said Friday it will showcase end-to-end technologies that work to defend warfighters from unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery fire, ballistic and hypersonic missile attacks.
Northrop noted it has taken steps to modernize its command and control, kinetic, non-kinetic and sensor platforms to provide protection against scramjet and boost-glide missiles. The company has also delivered ballistic missile targets to the test and evaluation community as part of the effort.
“We’re investing and working now to ensure our customers can detect, engage and defeat these destructive weapons,†said Kenn Todorov, vice president of missile defense solutions at Northrop.
Northrop is slated to test the ESPAStar and GEOStar-1 spacecraft buses for satellite and space logistics missions and will compete for the U.S. Army’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor project.
