Maxar Technologies has received a $14.2M contract to help the U.S. Air Force develop an automated workflow for cloud-based national geospatial intelligence analysis.
According to a Department of Defense notice published Friday, the company will help USAF reduce delays of production, exploitation and gathering of geospatial intelligence under the Red Wing Next Generation GEOINT Cloud effort,Â
The program will build on Amazon Web Services to boost resiliency and reduce cyber vulnerabilities.
Work will take place in Ypsilanti, Mich. and Herndon, Va. through Aug. 7, 2021. USAF initially obligates $3.7M in fiscal 2019 funds allotted for research, development, test and evaluation activities.
