John Lockwood, former robotic process automation program manager at the Defense Logistics Agency, has joined KPMG’s federal intelligent automation practice as a director.

Kirke Everson, a principal at KPMG and head of its intelligent automation initiatives with the government, said in a statement published Tuesday, Lockwood will bring his experience in intelligence automation to other agencies that are looking for ways to reduce costs and free their employees from repetitive tasks.

“John’s deep experience in the Department of Defense and across the federal government will be invaluable as we work to deliver IA governance and more advanced artificial intelligence solutions to our clients,” Everson added.

Lockwood is a retired U.S. Navy captain. He joined DLA in 2012 after serving as a software development program manager at U.S. Special Operations Command. He held a supply chain management position at Sun Microsystems.

KPMG’s federal advisory group helps government and public sector clients achieve fiscal responsibility and transparency by delivering sector-specific audit, consulting and tax services as well as support in analytics, cybersecurity and intelligent automation.
