The U.S. Army selected Science Applications International Corp. to compete for task orders under a potential 10-year, $37B contract vehicle covering command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance-related engineering services.
SAIC said Tuesday it holds a position on the Responsive Strategic Sourcing contract, which has a five-year base period and a five-year option. The Reston, Va.-based contractor plans to bid for specialty engineering, logistics, training, research, development, test and evaluation tasks.
Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager of the defense systems group at SAIC, said the company intends to leverage its experience in cyber operations, training, analytics and systems engineering to continue supporting Army missions as well as other customers.
The service branch issued the indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract in October 2018.
