Dedrone will continue to license its drone detection platform to F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming under a program with the Defense Innovation Unit. The company said Wednesday that its DroneTracker platform has been undergoing tests with the DIU since June 2018 across six U.S. military facilities.
DroneTracker works to provide radio frequency detection gathers data on small unmanned aircraft systems as the platform detects and tracks enemy sUAS. Users may also configure the platform to automatically generate notifications and countermeasures upon detection of an sUAS threat.
F.E. Warren houses an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system with Minuteman III missiles to protect 9,600 square miles spanning Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. The base released a statement that it needed continued licensing for DroneTracker to detect sUAS for specific areas of interest.
