Cubic’s global defense business and Battlespace Simulations Inc. have partnered to implement the latter’s full spectrum simulation tool for ground and air training platforms.
The Modern Air Combat Environment platform is designed to simulate weapon guidance systems, flyouts, multi-domain forces and physics-based representations of the electromagnetic spectrum, Cubic said Tuesday.
Cubic noted that the memorandum of agreement both parties signed will result in technology that will allow operators to conduct training activities in realistic and simulated battlespace environments.
“We are beyond excited at this opportunity to combine BSI’s expertise in generating virtual and constructive players and contested battlespaces with Cubic’s live training expertise,†said Gary DeYoung, president and CEO at BSI. BSI is a Texas-based company that offers semi-automated and computer generated applications to military and government clients.
