TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 26, 2019 — BAE Systems has established a robotics operations center, through its partnership with UiPath, to support the high-volume data processing tasks of national security missions at U.S. defense and intelligence agencies, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The center aims to utilize robotic process automation software to help with repetitive tasks in order to allow humans to spend their time on more important duties, the company said Aug. 19.
“The ROC streamlines IT operations, helping customers to take advantage of the vast sea of information to improve responsiveness while reducing cost and security risk,” said Peder Jungck, vice president and general manager of intelligence solutions at BAE.
In addition to providing customizable software robots, BAE will also teach its government clients how to deploy them effectively and at the scale required.
“RPA technology allows for automation of legacy and disparate IT systems, integration of business processes, and structuring of large data sets, which can improve efficiency and reduce operating costs,” said Jon Dorn, acting chief technology officer at BAE’s intelligence and security sector.
