Ahmed Jazzar, president of Boeing’s business in Saudi Arabia, will manage the aerospace company’s defense business in the Middle Eastern country as part of the expansion of his leadership responsibilities, Saudi Gazzette reported Saturday. He will oversee the sustainment and implementation of existing defense contracts with the government of Saudi Arabia to support the country’s Vision 2030.
“As a key market for Boeing, and with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan, we are making the changes needed to position ourselves for future growth, drive decision making closer to the customer, strengthen partnerships with local companies in Saudi Arabia and accelerate our efforts to support the country’s Vision 2030,†said Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security business and a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient.
“This leadership framework will enable us to draw on the growth and productivity benefits that Saudi Arabia can offer Boeing,†Caret added.
Since 2005, Jazzar has been serving as president of Boeing Saudi Arabia leading the company’s industrial partnerships, government affairs and corporate citizenship programs. He serves as chairman of Boeing’s industrial technology group and a board member of Alsalam Aerospace Industries and Saudi Rotorcraft Support Co.
