The U.S. Air Force intends to solicit for artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies designed to support command and control activities.
USAF said Thursday in a FedBizOpps notice it seeks to determine, apply and assess AI/ML concepts applicable to C2 activities including planning, execution monitoring and battle management.
In addition, the service branch is also looking for existing technologies that will modernize C2 operations and address defense-specific issues.
Air Force Materiel Command opened a broad agency announcement for the effort.
Interested firms may submit white papers through Aug. 22, 2019 for fiscal 2020 projects, through March 31, 2020 for fiscal 2021 and through March 31, 2021 for fiscal 2022.
The general BAA will remain open through Sept. 30, 2022.
