Rod Allison, a 15-year veteran at the Transportation Security Administration, has joined New York-based biometrics firm Clear as vice president of operational security, Biometric Update reported Tuesday.
Allison will assist Clear in augmenting homeland security efforts, customer experience and partnerships under his new role.
Prior to his appointment, Allison served as an acting deputy administrator at TSA and led the Federal Air Marshal Service as director. In addition, he performed intelligence work during his tenure in the U.S. Army.
“His leadership and insight will be invaluable as we continue to deliver more efficient and secure experiences for our members and all travelers,†said Howard Kass, executive vice president of corporate affairs at Clear.
Clear has installed biometric identity systems in over 50 sports stadiums and airports in the U.S. and are used to accommodate food and drink purchases in selected cities.
