Textron Aviation Defense expects an upcoming U.S. Air Force certification that may support the global sales of the firm's AT-6 Wolverine light-attack, single-engine aircraft, FlightGlobal reported Saturday.
The company is anticipating a request for proposals in the very near future for certification testing of three Wolverine aircraft units.
Brett Pierson, vice president of light attack aircraft at Textron Aviation Defense, said the certification may include the aircraft in the country’s foreign military sales program.
He added that multiple countries have already expressed interest in the aircraft.
