Synack has launched a crowdsourced cybersecurity test designed to help government clients fortify their networks in compliance with guidelines under the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Federal Information Security Management Act.

The company said Tuesday that its Crowdsourced NIST 800-53 Penetration Test deploys a vulnerability discovery framework based on bug-bounty concepts and provides assessment reports intended to meet the fiscal 2020 National Defense Authorization Act’s advice for addressing agency network vulnerabilities.

“We take a ‘no compromise’ approach to security testing. Synack can deploy these tests within 72 hours, centralize results, and produce an audit-quality report,” said Mark Kuhr, chief technology officer at Synack.

The Redwood City, Calif.-based firm has already deployed its Crowdsourced Penetration Testing Platform to four government agencies and recently launched the LaunchPoint+ testing gateway that works to strengthen users’ data privacy.
